Seahorse Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse portrays a Seahorse in colour. With several species endemic to Australian tropical and temperate marine waters, the glimpse of a Seahorse’s beautiful equine shape is especially gratifying to those visiting our reefs.
‘P’ Mintmark
The coin’s reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s historic ‘P’ mintmark.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2010 year-date on the obverse.
Extremely Limited Mintage
No more than 10,000 of these coins will be released by The Perth Mint.
Numbered Certificate of Authenticity
Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Presentation Packaging
Like the previous Lionfish (sold out), Leafy Sea Dragon (sold out) and Clownfish (sold out) coins, as well as the forthcoming Moray Eel coin, this release is housed in a presentation case which comes in a colourfully illustrated shipper. When lined-up in release order, the shippers form a linked image depicting all five inhabitants of the reef.
